Appointed Ryan Novitsky SID graduate assistant. Novitsky was the SUNY New Paltz SID for one year and also served the department as Assistant SID and Operations Manager. He is returning to school to pursue a master's degree in strategic communications.

Danielle Percival promoted to Director of Athletic Communications. Percival takes over the role after serving as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications since August 2014. FULL RELEASE

Rose Pietrzak Carter has been named Associate Director of Communications and will work with the men’s basketball and men’s golf programs. Carter previously has overseen the athletic communications operations at Georgia Southern and Fresno State and with the NBA’s Houston Rockets. She also served in the Maryland and Notre Dame sports information offices.

Nathan Bryant has been hired as Athletic Communications Intern for the 2017-18 academic year. He recently completed his master's degree at Eastern Illinois while working in that university's athletic media relations office for the past two years. Bryant received his undergraduate degree at Missouri, where he was a student assistant in the athletic media relations office.

Tanner Swift has been hired as graduate assistant after previously serving as an intern at Newberry.

Shane Switzer has been hired as Sports Information Intern for the 2017-18 academic year. He previously served as a student intern at the University of Tennessee.
6.6.17 | University of South Alabama
Eric Cain and Cody Linn have accepted the positions of Athletic Media Relations Assistants for the 2017-18 academic year. Cain received his undergraduate degree from Carson-Newman in 2015 and his master's degree from the school this spring, and has served as a graduate assistant in the C-N's media relations department the last two years while also working as a media relations specialist for the Kingsport Mets during that time. Linn earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio in 2015 and his graduate degree from the school in 2017, working as a media relations assistant for the Bobcats the last year.

Brandon Tripp has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Positioning. He will continue to serve as the conference's primary media contact and take on additional administrative duties within the conference. FULL RELEASE
