Marketing and Communications Specialist

Job Summary
The Media Relations Assistant will be responsible for various duties with the Media Relations office including, but not limited to, serving as liaison between coaches, student-athletes, administrators and representatives from the media. This position will also assist with the planning, execution and evaluation of specific projects related to relationships between Intercollegiate Athletics and the external campus community. The position will work closely with the Media Relations staff as well as the staffs in Development and Marketing in defining and prioritizing specific objectives and strategies for external support.

Salary: Hourly $20.39
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F; Varies with sport

  • Writing, editing, distributing releases.                    
  • Communicative skills.                    
  • Producing and overseeing reports.                            
  • Coordinate media requests.                    
  • Generate, design content.                    
  • Maintain bios, website.                            
  • Promote program, utilize social media.                    
  • Provide support to all sports, events.                    
  • Assist external relations duties.                    
  • Facilitate new media relationships.
