Coordinator of Eligibility Center Communications

Basic Function: The NCAA Eligibility Center is the NCAA's main point of contact with member institutions, high schools, and student-athletes/parents for initial-eligibility matters.  We develop and deliver educational resources across a variety of channels and audiences to ensure interested parties understand the requirements to compete in NCAA athletics. This role will have primary responsibility for management of email and digital content management across both Domestic and International operations for the Eligibility Center, but may be asked to support other core NCAA Customer Service work according to individual strengths and experience.

Job Responsibilities:
The Coordinator of Eligibility Center Communications will perform the following functions supporting both Domestic and International operations:
  1. Ensure all content posted to online websites and portals is accurately maintained, coordinating updates and posting revised materials as needed.
  2. Administer Eligibility Center email communications, building campaigns for targeted customer segments through current application (
  3. Manage Eligibility Center social media accounts (Twitter and Instagram) including development of content/messaging and administration.
  4. Maintain Frequently Asked Questions database for both internal and external use through proactive identification of necessary content updates as policies/procedures evolve.
  5. Partner with vendors and representatives in other business units to deliver assigned communications projects on time and on budget, applying NCAA style and Eligibility Center branding guidelines to all pieces.
  6. Proactively identify opportunities to improve/enhance communications across channels in an effort to provide easy access to information, ultimately reducing inbound calls to NCAA Customer Service Center.
  7. Other projects as assigned by the associate director of Eligibility Center Communications.

Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  2. One-two years of professional experience, preferably in communications.
  3. Technical knowledge in building email marketing campaigns, social media management, and communications content development is strongly preferred
  4. Knowledge of NCAA initial eligibility standards and processes or NCAA legislation in general is strongly preferred.
