Sports Information Director

The University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for a Sports Information Director. This is a full-time, exempt position. UIndy is a member of NCAA Division II competing in 23 sports.
Responsibilities of the Sports Information Director will include, but are not limited to, maintaining and coordinating game statistical records; maintaining and updating the athletic department’s website and social media platforms; production of various athletics publications; game-day staffing and promotions; preparing press releases; establishing relationships with local, regional and national media; helping with the department’s web-streaming efforts.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. A minimum of two years’ successful sports information experience in a collegiate athletic program. The successful candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; be proficient with desktop publishing software, including Adobe’s Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office, and possess a working knowledge of StatCrew statistical programs. Applicants with graphic design skills and/or broadcast experience may be given preference.
