Associate Communications Director

Description
85% Directs and coordinates the flow of information to the news media by serving as the primary point contact for Women’s Basketball and Women's golf. Handles all aspects of publicity for LSU Women's Basketball and Women's Golf to include but not limited to social media content and initiatives, media guides, posters and schedule cards, website content, and head coach publicity; Assists with football publicity; Manages credential and parking distribution for football home games; Assist with the management of football press box on game days, which includes Press Box layout and working personnel for game day operations; Assists with the production of weekly football game notes during season.

15% Oversee student staff and maintain weekly assignments for them; Serve as liaison with Strategic Communication on campus; Attend weekly Creative meetings with Marketing and Creative Staffs; Assist with any NCAA post-season events hosted by LSU.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with five years experience working in public relations and/or athletic communications office; Strong written, verbal, social media, organizational and desktop publishing experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree; Experience in a Division I communications office setting.  Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Special or Physical Qualifications: 
Ability to work extended days, weekends, and holidays.  Travel is required.
